Vegan Dollhouse is a Sacramento-based vegan creator and recipe developer participating in the 2026 Vegan Chef Challenge.
Robin, the creator of “Vegan Dollhouse“, has been vegan for over 27 years (circa 1999) and has been sharing her recipes for almost as long. She makes cute, colorful vegan food with organic ingredients, and her recipes range from baked goods to tofu ham.(I trust her recipes, and one of my favorites is her Detroit-style pizza.)
Vegan Dollhouse popped up at Lady Bird Tea House this weekend for its second annual “Vegan Halloween Market” with a variety of sweet and savory treats for sale.
I bought one of each of her treats, and they didn’t disappoint. Many of them were market exclusives, so I had to try them all!
The scones and pizza skull are my favorites. Savory is just where it’s at! The scones were similar to the stars we enjoyed at Lady Bird’s recent Vegan Tea Party, but came in larger moon shapes. I ordered both the “white” crescent moon and the “black” gibbous moon, which was naturally colored AND GLITTERY! Both were crumbly and loaded with savory vegan bacon and cheese. Heaven!
I reheated my Pizza Skull when I got home, and his innards were hot, melty, and so tasty! I chose the pepperoni skull, but I bet the sausage and BBQ chick’n flavors would be just as satisfying.
The Blueberry Ghost Hand Pie was ALMOST too cute to eat! The berry filling was tart and sweet, and the crust was flaky, buttery, and comforting. The Bat Brownies were fudgy and soft, yet held their shape, and the Monster Cookie Pop was a perfect not-too-sweet chocolatey treat.
The Graveyard Cup was an elevated take on a “dirt cup” with layered gluten-free chocolate cake, whipped chocolate frosting, and hidden vegan gummy worms! The cake was served in a color-changing glass mug with a shovel-shaped spoon for digging in. It was moist, sweet, and nostalgic.
Lastly, the Pumpkin Coffin Cake is a spooky-cute take on a coffee cake. The cake is shaped like a coffin and is fluffy, soft, and perfectly spiced. It was covered with a black “s’cream cheese” frosting and decorated with gothic-style white icing. This would pair perfectly with coffee and rain.
Robin has three menu items available throughout October for Sacramento’s Vegan Chef Challenge. I have tried them all and would order them daily if I were in her neighborhood!
