Three Veg Girls walk into a bar…
Last night 2 of my girlfriends and I got together for the first time since our county began shelter-in-place! It was a different restaurant experience, but the staff at Camp 4 Wine Cafe was great!
I started with Marinated Olives because I love salty fatty foods!
For dinner you’ll see pictured, the Vegan Panini and the Vegan Poke Bowl (I just HAD to try it TOO!). The Vegan Panini is dressed with spicy black bean hummus, shallots, AVOCADO, and “crunch” (which is thinly sliced crusty bread). The sandwich comes with a salad, and both options can be made vegan if you ask them to hold the feta. I had the Spinach Salad, because I’m a sucker for Popeye the Sailor-Man, and this is how I make decisions as an adult.
The Vegan Poke Bowl is a newer option on the menu, and is a nice change from what I am used to at Camp 4. The bowl is made up of mixed greens, sushi rice, portobello mushroom, avocado with sesame seeds, seaweed salad, ginger, cucumber and seasonal fruit. It’s topped with a Ponzu Sauce that is made with coconut aminos!
If you’re ordering alcohol and want to be conscious of animal ingredients, be sure to check out barnivore.com for a compiled list of vegan-friendly wine options!
Which vegan menu option do you plan to try from Camp 4?! Lemme know!
