A deliciously wild way to conserve and preserve our planet is popping up in the freezer department of your local grocery store!

Impossible Foods recently launched new WILD Nuggies; animal-shaped versions of their plant-based nuggets! Instead of the typical extinct dinosaur-shaped nuggets, Impossible saw an opportunity to bring their mission of a sustainable future to dinner table conversations with endangered species shapes. 4 endangered wildlife species are represented: Galapagos Tortoises, North Atlantic Right Whales, Polar Bears, and Black Rhinos.

Impossible Foods knows the biggest impact we can make on our carbon footprint, is by making better decisions on our plates. That is why they have been focused on making sustainable meat alternatives that cook and taste like the real thing, without the negative environmental impact generally brought on by animal agriculture and meat processing. According to Impossible Food’s their Impossible Chicken Nuggets generate 36% less GHG emissions, use 44% less water, and use 49% less land than the leading chicken nugget brand.

These nuggies are not just better for the planet, but are cute and tasty too! Just like their traditional-shaped Impossible Nuggets, the Wild Nuggies are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. A crispy, crumbly breading encases tender and juicy meatless chicken that is seasoned to taste like the real thing. I plated my nuggies according to their habitat. Polar Bear sits atop an Impossible Foods flagged snowy mashed potato mountain, Galapagos Tortoise is on a vegetative broccoli island, Black Rhino is surrounded by avocado grassy fields, and Right Whale is in an ocean of blueberries.

I had fun playing with my food, and hope you will too! I may not be the child demographic Impossible Wild Nuggies is targeting but I am just as excited about this launch as you vegan parents out there! I found my Impossible Wild Nuggies at Safeway, but they are also soon to be found at WalMart and Sprouts.
