Recently Booskies Cookies sent me some vegan and gluten-free cookies to review! These cookies are two-bite sized and made in the Orange County of California.

Booskies Cookies are not only vegan and free of gluten but made with cleaner ingredients and purposely preservative-free. Designed with the founder’s daughter in mind and coined after her nickname, Booskies Cookies is a passion project turned small business circa 2021. In 2022 Booskies was certified by the City of Irvine Green Business Program and made an official member of the California Green Business Network.

Booskies Cookies come in a variety of flavors, and I had the pleasure of trying the “Chocolate Chip”, “Cashew Cardamon Almond Butter” (made with JEM Organic Cashew Cardamom Almond Butter), Strawberry Preserves, and the newest flavor, Dark Chocolate Crispy Gems (made with UNREAL candy). The two-bite sized cookies are not only perfect for little ones, but great for adult snacking when you’d like a mix of flavors but can’t commit to multiple cookies.

I paired my Booskies Cookies with mini Mason shots of almond milk! I give a short overview of each cookie below:

My favorite of the lot has to be the Dark Chocolate Crispy Gems. A soft and buttery sugar cookie is the perfect base for UNREAL’s Dark Chocolate Crispy Gems. The gems are like M&M’s but give a crispy pop from quinoa puffs.

The Chocolate Chip Booskies are as yummy as they are cute. They are perfectly dunkable in the plant milk of your choosing, chewy, and lightly sweet.

The Cashew Cardamom Almond Butter cookies are soft and spongey with earthy spice. Creamy and mellow like a PB cookie, but kicked up with high-quality spiced nut-butter from JEM Organics.

Booskies Strawberry Preserves Cookies remind me of the thumbprint cookies I used to make with my mom. A buttery sugar cookie with a light jam filling that packs a punch of fruity flavor. The perfect cookie for this time of year, these would pair perfectly with tea and a spring afternoon.
