Alpha Breakfast Sandwiches
I am someone who often skips breakfast. This is both because I don’t want to spend the time preparing it (I’d rather sleep in), and also due to getting distracted (before I know it, it’s lunchtime). For this reason, I love heat-and-eat breakfast that IS NOT oatmeal. Alpha Foods recognized the convenient breakfast space in the plant-based market was lacking and created the much-needed Alpha Breakfast Sandwich.
The Alpha Breakfast Sandwich is packed with protein (17g to be exact) and resembles the traditional breakfast sandwich we know and love. A soft and crispy English muffin encases a savory meatless sausage patty, fluffy plant-based egg, and melty Violife ‘cheeze’. This breakfast sandwich can be prepared in the microwave, oven, and even an air fryer. I opted for the quickest option, and have been preparing mine in the microwave. The “cheeze” melts incredibly well, the sausage is firm and meaty without being chewy, and the bread doesn’t get soggy when prepared according to the directions by using a paper towel tent. I could seriously eat one of these for breakfast every day and be satisfied! I like to keep it simple and top mine with hot sauce, but sometimes switch it up and add avocado, tomato, and even spinach.

I found my Alpha Breakfast Sandwiches in a 6-pack at Costco. There are also newer Alpha Chorizo Breakfast Sandwiches hitting store shelves, that I can’t wait to try next!
