Bloomingcamp Ranch hit the plant-based crazed well before its bakery menu. Originally a sheep farm, as agriculture sales began booming, the Bloomingcamp’s converted their ranch to almond trees, and then to fruit!
Now the fun part of a plant-based future, the Vegan Treat Box. Bloomingcamp Ranch features three new vegan menu items, and one is a surplus of seasonal heaven. The Vegan Treat Box includes one of each of the following items; a Vegan Apple Pie Cookie, a Vegan Pumpkin Glazed Cookie, a Vegan Pecan Bar, and a Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie. Each of these desserts is loaded with unmatched flavor and imagination.
While the cookies are first to appear on my list of box contents, I HAVE to begin with the Pecan Bar. If Pecan Pies tasted like this when I was a kid, I can assure you I would have not minded the nuts. The flavors of brown sugar, maple, and dairy-free butter are abundant, and I could not stop eating after just one bite. I wish this box had a thousand more bars, but it looks like I will just need to visit the beautiful grounds of their ranch once more.
The Pumpkin Glazed cookie is so much more than the name beckons. This is a soft, but not overly moist pumpkin cookie, with a creamy spiced buttercream. I could eat this frosting by the tub, but the cookie is definitely the better option. This definitely encompasses all that is a pumpkin pie in cookie form, down to the smallest tinge of spice.
Next is an apple pie you can have all to yourself, the Apple Pie Cookie. Filled with actual pieces of granny smith apple, this cookie has a combination of; cinnamon, vanilla, and ginger. While not lattice-topped, the cookie has a crumbly texture that is reminiscent of an apple crumble. It will have your tastebuds fooled into believing this is a slice of fruit-filled heaven on a plate.
Last but of course in no way least, the classic chocolate chip cookie. The cookie is thick, but soft in texture. “Big enough to have a job” as my mother would say, this cookie is not lacking any chocolate chips. There is more than one chip per bite, and this is a decadent dessert you surely won’t want to share. I for sure, did not.
For just $10 this is an amazing assortment of plant-based treats. Buy a box for yourself, and pick one up for a friend, This is an AMAZING gift idea for “the vegan who has everything” that is still on your shopping list, or the plant-based “hostess with the mostess”!
Bloomingcamp carries TWO additional vegan desserts, ripe and ready for PREORDER! The first is a staple dish at Thanksgiving and Christmas: Pumpkin Pie! Thanks to Bloomingcamp Ranch you can pick-up a Pumpkin Pie for the table that is both vegan and gluten-free. The other is an Apple Pie! While it’s not gluten-free, it is vegan! I have my lattice-topped beauty ordered to be ready for pick-up before Thanksgiving (not that I have high hopes it will make it to Thursday! I love me some PIE!).
You can pre-order your pies, or have a Vegan Treat Box set aside, by placing an order at bloomingcampranch.com or by calling (209) 847-7437. While the Treat Box is first come first serve, the pies do need to be ordered in advance.
Bloomingcamp Ranch is a beautiful venue with gardens for strolling, and is dog friendly (so long as they are leashed and cleaned-up after). Join the ranch for it’s next outdoor family-friendly event: Mickey and Minne Meet and Greet and Photo Opportunity, on 12/12! Puchase is required for photo op. Details are available on Facebook.
Have you ever been to Bloomingcamp Ranch?
My mother says we used to go to visit when I was a little girl. I love that we can visit again, and I don’t have to miss out on their famous baked goods!
