La Espiga De Oro Bakery is at it again with more new seasonally appropriate vegan treats, and this time it’s for those of us who love a nice hot cup of cocoa! Unlike my recently shared dark chocolate cocoa bomb find, these cocoa bombs are made of semi-sweet, dairy-free chocolate and Dandies brand mini marshmallows.
Cocoa Bombs take a traditional holiday beverage and turn it into a fun and shareable experience that is mesmerizing to watch, and preserved through the sweet taste of hot chocolate. I added my bomb to piping hot almond-milk and watched as the chocolate melted effortlessly, creating an “explosion” of cocoa mix and marshmallows! The cocoa is smooth and light in flavor, and is surprisingly not overly sweet. This is the perfect stay-at-home holiday beverage. La Espiga offers their semi-sweet variety in both vegan and “non-vegan*” flavors, at just $4.75 a bomb!
Combine a bomb, and a $5 La Espiga De Oro Gift Card to give a thoughtful present to a loved one for just under $10, and introduce them to this incredible local business! This bakery offers non-dairy coffee beverages and even vegan-friendly whipped cream, so $5 can get them a nice on-the-go treat!
Cocoa bombs are available for pre-order only, and can be picked up from the bakery, or delivered to your doorstep. Pre-order via message on FB or IG, and don’t forget to add some vegan pan dulce or other pastries while you’re at it! La Espiga De Oro Bakery delivers from Salida to Turlock, including Modesto, and even Oakdale! Support small businesses and don’t skimp out on ordering extra pan dulce to leave out for Santa Claus!
I wonder if the Cocoa Bomb craze has reached the North Pole yet?
Thoughts?
*SIDE NOTE- I love that La Espiga De Oro Bakery refers to anything that is not vegan on their menu as “non-vegan” instead of the generally favored terms; “traditional” or “normal”. This just makes me feel good, and my heart grows three sizes every time I see that terminology. With that said, La Espiga De Oro Bakery is not an exclusively vegan bakery, but with all their continuous vegan-friendly offerings, it is easy to think so! Maybe they will one day follow in the footsteps of Burger Lords! Who’s to say?
