Bread with a SURPRISE INSIDE, that’s vegan-friendly? YAASS! I love carbs!
When La Espiga De Oro Bakery sent me a sneak peak of their new Vegan Jalapeño Cheese Bolillo (savory bread) my heart was full and the order was placed.
The Bolillos were warm, and crusty on the outside, balanced with a spicy and savory filling of; Jalapeños, Carrots, and Trader Joe’s Vegan Cream Cheese on the inside. The Bolillos are actually quite large in size, and half of one I found was rather filling! To me it was reminiscent of a jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, but less messy!
If you’re craving something more on the sweet side, La Espiga De Oro Bakery has a new Empanada on their menu as well. It’s a handheld PB&J, with CRUNCHY peanut butter! Their ratio of Peanut Butter to Jelly must have been scientifically mastered, and these are WAY more satisfying than the leading brand of frozen PB&J sandwiches!
