Lindt Lindor Truffles now come in two new non-dairy varieties: Oatmilk and Dark Oatmilk. The new truffles are plant-based, vegan-friendly, and made with gluten-free oats. Lindor Truffles have been gracing tastebuds since their launch in 1967. Initially fashioned for Christmas, wrapped in gold and red to mimic tree ornaments, the truffles ultimately became a favorite produced year-round.

If you’re unfamiliar, Lindor Truffles made by Lindt, are chocolate orbs comprised of an outer chocolate shell, and a melty “liquid gold” center. The term “Lindor” was actually coined after their name “Lindt” and the French word for gold, “Or”, hinting at its taste of luxury. I don’t remember ever tasting one of these truffles pre-veg, but now with the non-dairy addition I can’t believe what I’ve been missing!

Lindt chocolatiers are experts with a coveted recipe for their chocolate truffle center. The Oatmilk and Dark Oatmilk varieties are sweet, buttery smooth, and slightly nutty. The original oatmilk truffle has a sweeter flavor, whereas the dark is just a tad richer but not at all bitter. I prefer “milk” chocolate to dark, but these Lindor Truffles make for a toss-up as they are both deliciously creamy.

Lindt’s plant-based Lindor Truffles comes after the successful launch of their Lindt Oatmilk Chocolate Bars released last year. I previously reviewed the chocolate bars, but the truffles are surely my new favorite.
