Named after the dense fog that often rolls into our city during the winter months, Inland Fog is a locally owned business that creates vegan bath and body products here in Modesto, CA.
Inland Fog hand-makes vegan bath and body products in a variety of forms and has done so for over 10 years! All products are made individually, in small batches, with sustainably managed and harvested ingredients, are never tested on animals, and always include a “drop of best intentions”. As best described on their website: “I make each soap knowing it will be used in an intimate, daily ritual. What could be more personal or intimate than giving someone you care a soap or product you have chosen especially for them to aid in washing away the troubles of the day, or to simply reaffirm a wonderful one with a beautifully scented soap. Magic is about finding life’s ingredients and filling them with directed intention. Flowers, herbs and scents awaken our hearts’ desires. Shakespeare wrote using the language of flowers, I speak that language through my soap.”
Inland Fog is a staple at Modesto’s weekly Farmer’s Market, and you can always easily spot their purple booth. With the addition of their seasonal scents, I knew I had to stop by to purchase some goodies for myself and gifting this holiday. I walked away with several bath bombs, including a Bubblegum scented bomb, a Galaxy bomb, and a eucalyptus spearmint skull bomb. I also picked up seasonal essential oil blend “Winter Woods”, seasonal “Candy Cane” soap, and a bottle of Aches Away Lotion for a stocking stuffer.
I have always had a poor sense of smell, and it takes strong fragrances to waft my senses awake. I love Inland Fog products not only because they are cruelty-free, vegan, and local, but because even with my faint sense of smell I can enjoy their products. Their Winter Woods fragrance blend is described as “a crisp walk through a winter evergreen forest” and I can smell the notes of spruce and cypress with sage and hinoki wood. The Candy Cane soap is a blend of vanilla cream and peppermint scent, that is both sweet and refreshing. I recommend Inland Fog products tenfold, and encourage you to support their small business this season when shopping for holiday gifts. (I was actually introduced to Inland Fog years ago when my best friend gifted me one of their French Clay Masks!)

“A drop of best intentions” is my wish for peace and prosperity for you, your loved ones and the earth we walk upon. It is my best intention added to every product.” – Lourdes Lobo
