Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on its way! We are at the two-week mark, so if you haven’t scouted out some Easter basket goodies yet, no worries because I have an assortment of fun filler ideas to share!

Most of my haul was purchased at Target in true Your Neighborhood Vegan fashion. However, two of the items can be purchased exclusively online for delivery. I typically fill between 2-4 baskets each Easter so when I purchase treats, I like to see which items I can stretch to fill multiple plastic eggs and baskets. I combine smaller packages with larger sizes, for an array of treats that make the overall basket prettier and easier to fill.

For my ideal vegan Easter basket, I started with the larger packages of long-time vegan favorites fashioned for Easter; Red Vines Licorice Twists in Rasberry and a box of Sour Patch Bunnies. The largest item is of course the No-Whey Milkless Bunny. The No-Whey Bunny is non-dairy ‘milk’ chocolate, that can be purchased from No-Whey’s website, or via their Amazon Store.

I filled Jumbo Plastic Eggs with MadeGood Birthday Cake Granola Bars, which are dangerously addicting, and Mini LARA Bars in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Mini Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and Mini Ocho Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars are perfect for filling traditional-sized plastic eggs. Additionally, I filled eggs with Imperfect Foods’ Jammy Beans and Good & Gather’s Dark Chocolate Dipped Almonds. The Jammy Beans are vegan-friendly and organic jelly beans, available via Imperfect Foods’ website and subscription service. The Dark Chocolate Dipped Almonds are a Target brand product, that I find to be a great alternative to Jordan Almonds.

I included full packages of Swedish Fish ‘Eggs’, Annie’s Easter shaped Fruit Snacks, and Jelly Belly’s NEW Vegan Gummies! Swedish Fish are a long-time “accidentally vegan” candy, and I love to see the thematic holiday assortments they create. Jelly Belly’s Vegan Gummies are pungently flavored and are more of a firm gummy, than the soft texture of Annie’s. The Annie’s Fruit Snacks come in adorable shapes like Easter eggs and flowers, that are only available for a limited time.

I topped my Easter basket off with what I believe to be the most eye-catching and desirable item of any Easter basket, the golden-wrapped chocolate bunny. Lindt Dark Chocolate Bunnies are an “accidentally vegan” Easter item, that we all need in our baskets. If we get our act together early enough next year, we can even order a personalized ribbon for our bunnies at mygoldbunny.com ! I definitely signed up to be notified about that, because I want a personalized bunny!

Lastly is an Honorable Mention of sorts, the new Skittles Impossible Egg Hunt camouflage packages. These are not going into my baskets but will be used for the traditional “hunt”. How fun and clever are these? Fashioned with pictures of grass, bark, tile, and more inconspicuous images, these will be a fun activity to locate and snack on.
