Bunnie Cakes makes one of THE most innovative vegan products on the market: ready-to-bake cake batter and prepared frosting.

Bunnie Cakes was the ONLY booth at Expo West I favorited in the app to make sure I didn’t miss this year, and wound up accidentally being one of the first booths I visited. They were showcasing their new ready-to-bake cake batter and frosting, and sampling the mini cupcakes they created. I was immediately hooked and have high hopes for this to end up in retailers across the country sometime soon.

Bunnie Cakes is a vegan bakery based in South Florida that offers vegan cakes and cupcakes for local pickup and delivery. Founded in 2009, Mariana wanted to create a treat for everyone to enjoy, inspired by her son’s dairy allergy and her grandmother’s favorite recipes.

Now you can taste Bunnie Cakes at home, with their newest innovation, ready-to-bake refrigerated vegan cake batter and prepared frosting. This is the first product of its kind to be released, and it’s vegan, soy, and nut-free. Bunnie Cakes ready batter is currently available in chocolate and vanilla, in addition to a prepared vanilla frosting. When ready to bake, simply let the batter and frosting set at room temperature (or set in a warm water bath), snip off the edge of the package, and then squeeze into prepared pans. After about 12 minutes, you have freshly baked cupcakes that are flavorful and moist, ready to be topped with Bunnie Cakes’ sweet and whipped, ready-to-eat frosting! While I opted to make Bunnie Cakes’ signature mini cupcakes, the batter can, of course, be used for traditional sized cakes or cupcakes as well. *Ingredients are available at the bottom of this post

With the ‘All in One Baking Kit, ‘ you receive one of each ready-to-bake cake batter in chocolate and vanilla, one pouch of ready-to-eat vanilla frosting, a 24-count silicone mini cupcake baking pan, mini cupcake liners, and Bunnie Cakes’ signature vegan heart-shaped sprinkles for $49. The ‘Batter and Frosting Combo’ is just that, the vanilla and chocolate cake batter and vanilla frosting, for $35. While not a low price-point, these eliminate baking prep, minimize mess, and guarantee great taste!

I am blown away by this product, not only because it tastes good, but because its ease of use makes vegan baking accessible to all! Bunnie Cakes ready-to-bake cake batter is perfect for those looking to bake for a loved one with allergies, but are unsure where to start, those with disabilities who want to create something special with minimal prep and time, those without all the necessary ingredients or tools to bake- the opportunities this product creates are endless!
