Starburst were unvieled in the US in the late 1960s, after a failed introduction as ‘M&M Fruit Chews’. Once rebranded as Starburst, they became a fan favorite. It took nearly 60 years, but Starburst has officially launched its first-ever plant-based Starburst candy.

Last year the secret was out on Starburst Plant-Based Gummies, but after one photo made its round on the internet they seemed to disappear. That is until they made their way to Walmart’s website. After a few months of watching them stay listed but unavailable, the packaging had a facelift and they were rebranded as “Starburst Goodies”. In the past month they’ve been popping up in store at Walmart and after impatiently waiting, I finally found them near me!

Available in Original and FaveREDs, Starbust Goodies are a plant-based take on Starburst Gummies, that are also gluten-free and non-GMO. Made with real fruit juice, they’re still ‘inexplicably juicy’ bursting with fruit flavor just like Starburst Fruit Chews. The Starburst Goodies Original feature the classic candy flavors- Cherry, Lemon, Orange, and Strawberry. Starburst Goodies FaveREDs are flavored as- Fruit Punch, Cherry, Watermelon, and Strawberry. All flavors are yummy and provide a punch of fruit flavor. I’d go for the FaveREDs in the future, but that could very well be because it’s a pink bag. Pink Starburst were my favorite long ago, after all.

While these are still not listed on the official Starburst website, you can check Walmart.com to see if they are available in your area. In my location, most stores seem to have the FaveREDs flavor, but the Original is a bit harder to find.
