Breakfast on a stick takes eating on the go to another level. With one hand you can enjoy a protein-fueled meal, and with the other, you can take on the world..or just your morning.
Morningstar Farms’ new Incogmeato Plant-Based Pancake & Sausage is around 80% less fat than the leading animal-based brand and 9g of protein per stick. This makes it an easy breakfast swap for those who are plant-curious, and a long-anticipated alternative for those who are veg. Available in both original and blueberry versions, you are bound to have a favorite, I certainly do!
The recommended preparation method is the microwave, but I’d opt for the oven if you have the time and prefer a crisper coating on your pancake (more similar to a corn dog). In just 20 minutes you have fully cooked sausage and crispy pancake, whereas the microwaved sticks provide a soft and fluffier pancake. Both methods turn out delicious, it is just up to the clock and your preference!
I paired my Morningstar Farms Incogmeato Plant-Based Pancake & Sausages on a Stick with fresh berries and syrup for dipping. While the blueberry pancake coating is tasty, my favorite is the original. Both dairy-free and egg-free pancake coatings are sweet with a hearty buttermilk flavor. The blueberry is a tad sweeter, and the original has a light buttery taste. The enclosed vegan sausage is maplely, yet still savory with a hint of smokiness. Overall Morningstar Farms Incogmeato Plant-Based Pancake & Sausages on a Stick are a fun and satisfying way to take on the day. Definitely a new staple at my house!
I found Morningstar Farms Incogmeato Plant-Based Pancake & Sausage on a Stick at my local Walmart, but you can use the store locator on Morningstar Farms’ website to find them near you. By next year they should be available nationwide, so if they are not available yet, don’t fret! I looked for a good 3 months before I found them locally!
What do you think, are you a fan of food on a stick?
