It’s FRI-YAY and I feel like a kid at Disneyland!
I’ve been on the hunt for these Mickey Mouse-shaped vegan nuggets, and I finally found them! I’m so stoked about Morningstar Farms plant-based nuggets coming in a fun new shape for kids and adults alike!
The Incogmeato Nuggets are the same recipe as their standard veggie nugget, if you’ve tried them. If not, you can expect the same crumbly nugget coating of the shaped dinosaur chicken nuggets we used to be served in elementary school. The center is soft, with a texture that is not too chewy. I like that these don’t 100% replicate the texture of meat, as I think a lot of us wish to omit that once we go-veg. The bag claims they have a kid-approved taste, but I don’t have children, so you’ll have to take my word for it.
I paired my Mickey nuggets with Morningstar Farms Veggie Corn Dogs (and Annie’s Homegrown Vegan Mac and Peas). I am a HUGE fan of the corn dogs, and I find myself craving them. I think it’s the cornbread batter, that is just a hint of sweet! The veggie dog is favorable in texture, in that it doesn’t crumble apart into chunks as you eat it, which is something I’ve noticed from other leading veggie dog brands. The corn dogs are always a staple in my freezer as they are filling, heat up mighty fast, and are super fun!
Recently, like within the last year, Morningstar Farms switched from a commonplace vegetarian brand to a fully vegan and plant-based line of products! I’m stoked about seeing what additional items we can expect from them, now that they’ve made the switch. I will be sure to share, once I find some new favorites!
I found these newer vegan-friendly Morningstar products in the freezer section at Walmart! Morningstar Farms has a store locator on their website, should you wish to hunt for your own!
Are you excited about the fun-shaped nuggets? What shapes are you hoping for next? 🦖
