Valentine’s Day is nearing, and whether I’ve got sweets or a sweetie, it is one of my most favorite holidays!
Valentine’s Day is a commercial holiday at its finest, and I am more than happy to indulge in everything pink and sparkly, that this holiday brings.
In celebration, I wanted to share some of my newfound Vegan Valentine’s treats, all from my local Target. Sure, we can splurge a little and buy a box of dairy-free chocolates from an online shop, but I am a fan of shopping at big box stores for vegan finds. I get so excited about finding vegan options that are accessible to me and so many others!
I have a cute little Valentine candy charcuterie set up, composed of all the treats featured in this post: NEW Lady Gaga Oreos that are a PINK Golden Oreo with green creme, Brach’s traditional Jube Jel Cherry Hearts, and Jube Jel Cinnamon Lips, Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate with Marzipan (I am a fan of the bright RED wrapper for V-Day!), and lastly some specialty Organic Cotton Candy by Maud Borup in “Unicorn Dream”, Raspberry flavor with Candy Bits, and “Magic Dragon”, Mango flavor with Dragon Fruit powder!
The Gaga Oreos taste like a traditional Golden Oreo, however, the green cream is much thicker than the traditional cookie. I am obsessed with pink, so I just had to have these!
Maud Borup’s Cotton Candy is out of this world, and I do not say that simply because it features mythological creatures. I have actually not tried this fancy fairy floss until its limited release at Target, and I cannot believe I have been missing out on this! The flavor is powerfully abundant, from the candy bits to the actual spun sugar. I have not tried such a pungent cotton candy before, but I am all about it!
Brach’s Jube Jel Lips and Hearts are a nostalgic and soft gummy candy, that are just as tasty as they are cute! I feel like they add the sweetest touch, and plan to use mine on cupcakes and Valentine Candy Bark!
If you’ve not tried the Ritter Sport Marzipan bar, it is a rich dark chocolate with a soft filling of almond-flavored marzipan paste. It tastes similar to an Almond Joy (minus the coconut). The bitterness of the dark chocolate definitely helps to balance the palate after so many fruity sugary treats! I recommend you note this, if you recreate a sugary charcuterie board of your own!
Have a Happy Love Week!
