A chain located in Modesto and Turlock, Yogurt Mill has been swirling up frozen yogurt for locals since 1984. This Spring they’ve added plant-based, dairy-free, and gluten-free soft-serve to their rotating flavors, and I am ecstatic!

When I moved to Modesto in 2015, I pulled into the Yogurt Mill drive-thru for the first time, after seeing a sign advertising they had a new Vegan Coconut Milk fro-yo. I was instantly hooked, and regularly combined that coconut milk yogurt with any and every sorbet they were swirling. Fast forward 6 years, and now they have a line of exclusively vegan and gluten-free soft serve! I am so thrilled, that I have since tried each and every flavor of their newest vegan options. My absolute favorite HAS to be the “Tuxedo”. A Vanilla and Chocolate Oat Milk swirl, which is a classic that can only be improved with a non-dairy base. However, the Strawberry Coconut Milk is refreshing and the prettiest of all! Light pink, with a muted strawberry flavor that reminds me of a Strawberries and Creme Frap. I am never disappointed with my cup or cone at Yogurt Mill!

Regardless of your non-dairy preference, Yogurt Mill has something swirling for you. Soft serve made of Oat Milk, Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, and Sorbets are available daily at each location, but flavors vary. Most exciting is their addition of Vegan Cookie Dough that can be added to the tops of your treats! I opted to try the cookie dough on my Reese’s Almond Milk soft serve.
