Ok, I may be obsessed with La Espiga De Oro Bakery. BUT is that really a problem?
Recently “Conitos” were added to their egg-free and dairy-free pastry menu. Also referred to as “conos de hojaldre rellenos con crema pastelera”. Roughly translated, this means to me: pastry cones stuffed with cream. Customers of La Espiga De Oro Bakery routinely referred to the pastries as “conitos” however, so the name stuck!
Conitos (cones) are my absolute favorite item on the bakery’s menu right now. Puff pastry filled with an egg-free and dairy-free vanilla cream. It’s like a custard or pudding, and I’ve been dreaming about getting my hands on another order of them since last week! My family is still a fan of the traditional vegan pan Dulce, but the conitos are my go-to from now on.
I’ve already placed an order for more heaven-filled cones, and a dozen of their NEW vegan cupcakes (because we are celebrating a birthday in my family this weekend)!
I love having another vegan-friendly bakery option in our area, for all types of baked goods! La Espiga De Oro has been rolling out continuous delicious vegan treats and they aren’t planning to stop! Their baker has shared that they are mixing up some special seasonal goods for all of us as well!
