This Saturday, August 1st, was Cast Iron’s exclusive family-style dinner experience, Vegan Roast. Reservations were required, as this was a unique 6-course seasonal menu and truly farm-to-table. The produce used for our Vegan Roast was picked just days before, from a small, local, regenerative farm called “Honest Acre”.
Morningstar Farms has been creating vegetarian convenience foods since 1974. While they’ve rolled back their commitment to making their entire product line fully plant-based, Morningstar has an onslaught of frozen vegan goods, from breakfast patties to corn dogs. Their newest additions are bringing restaurant-style dishes to your kitchen: “Vegan Chik’n Breasts with Garlic Herb Sauce” and “Vegan Chik’n Wings with Buffalo & BBQ Sauce.”

In 1952, Fatburger became a woman-owned business after founder Lovie Yancey split with her partner and removed “Mr.” from the restaurant’s name. The burger joint became an LA icon and claims to be “The Last Great Hamburger Stand.” Now owned by FAT Brands, the restaurant has franchises across the US and Canada.
